The ACR/ARP Annual Meeting is always an exciting, crowded and hectic event. It’s jam-packed with lectures, poster presentations, networking luncheons and workshops attendees don’t want to miss. And the 2019 meeting, scheduled for Nov. 8–13 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, will be no exception.
During this year’s Annual Meeting, attendees looking for a quiet space to think, relax and recharge amid the hubbub should step into the new Wellness Pavilion. Located in the Exhibit Hall, this complimentary space is designed to promote calm, as well as temporarily alleviate the stress and burnout that are all too familiar to healthcare professionals.
Enjoyable features of the Wellness Pavilion will include:
- A coloring wall: Grab markers and fill in graphic images of the Atlanta skyline or draw your own designs on a huge white canvas;
- An art gallery stroll: Take a break from the crowds and chatter in this pop-up art gallery of intriguing portraits and prints;
- A day spa pod: Step into the serenity of a large, inflatable white tent and settle into one of three spa-like massage chairs for a soothing treatment. Each chair will be equipped with headphones tuned to a continuous playlist of soft, relaxing music; and
- A therapy dog park: From 1–2 p.m. daily, a cadre of therapy dogs will be on hand in a little park inside the Exhibit Hall, complete with greenery and benches. Stop in to play with these specially trained pooches or just hang out on a bench to watch the canine camaraderie.
All Wellness Pavilion activities and exhibits are complimentary for registered attendees and do not require reservations. Just stop by and chill out between sessions on Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. For more information about this year’s events, visit the 2019 ACR/ARP Annual Meeting website.
