The ACR REF/Abbott Health Professional Graduate Student Research Preceptorship introduces students to rheumatology-related healthcare by supporting a graduate student’s full-time research in the broad area of rheumatic disease.
Eligibility: Only students enrolled in graduate school are eligible to participate. Preceptors must be ACR or ARHP members and are responsible for selecting student applicants.

Terms and Funding: This is a one-year award.
- Students will participate in an eight-week program, receive a $3,500 stipend, and are eligible to receive up to $1,000 in reimbursable travel funds to attend the 2008 ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco.
- Preceptors will receive a $1,500 stipend and their institution will receive $1,000 to cover related laboratory expenses.
