Discover the latest in rheumatology at the premier rheumatology meeting—the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting—which will be held in San Diego from October 25–30.
We are excited about the plans for the scientific program. Members of the ACR Annual Meeting Planning Committee and the ARHP Program Committee have worked hard to develop a program that will be interesting to practicing clinicians, and basic and clinical investigators. In addition to returning favorites such as the Year in Review, Curbside Consults, Meet the Professors, The Great Debate, and Thieves’ Market, the annual meeting program continues to expand. This year’s program will include more clinical reviews, symposia, and immunology updates for clinicians.
Groundbreaking premeeting courses will be offered on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26. Don’t miss the opportunity to take advantage of offerings like the very popular ACR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for Rheumatologists, which always sells out quickly. Other selections include the ACR Basic Research Conference, the ACR Certified Rheumatology Coder Course, the ACR/ American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification Learning Session, the ARHP Clinical Focus Course, and the Practice Management course. Plan to register early because you do not want to miss the opportunity to attend one of these sessions.
One of the most popular sessions every year is the ACR Review Course. New this year, the ACR is incorporating 30 self-assessment questions that allow you to earn ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points. Questions will be related to each of the eight topics covered and given to all attendees prior to the course. The lectures at the session will reference the questions. ACR Review Course registrants will have access to an online module during and after the course so they can submit their answers to receive 10 ABIM MOC points, once a passing score is achieved. This is just the start of the ACR’s initiative to provide opportunities for rheumatologists to earn MOC points for activities in which they are already participating, as well as in live settings. Although the ACR Review Course is designed to accommodate thousands, be sure to get your tickets early.
This year’s complimentary opening reception will be held at the San Diego Convention Center at 6:15 PM on Saturday, October 26. Take this opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones before you enjoy an evening on your own in scenic San Diego.
Join us in San Diego to be part of what will be a very memorable experience!
