In Memoriam … Sheldon Mark Cooper, MD, MACR

I owe Shel a debt of gratitude. He mentored me and provided me with many leadership opportunities that helped me develop my career, eventually leading to my appointments as fellowship program director and division chief. A quote from John Maxwell is a perfect description of Shel’s leadership style: “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”
