The Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases Conference will be held at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, Va. March 2–4, 2007. The conference brings together researchers, Food and Drug Administration representatives, and pharmaceutical representatives in a unique forum to discuss new therapies in rheumatology.
A key addition to the 2007 meeting is the Basic Methodology session scheduled for Friday morning as a pre-conference course. It will offer fellows and junior faculty a chance to learn the basics of how therapies are developed and how trials are designed before delving into the hot topics that will be presented during the main conference.
Friday afternoon, the conference will start with a session on “Targeting the Appropriate Population,” with discussions on biomarkers and study design. Saturday will begin with a session on drug safety, and in the afternoon lupus will be discussed. The weekend will close with a session on Sunday morning on innovative therapies. Each session will feature several speakers from different disciplines.
