The ARHP Research Committee has not only been developing tools for the Web to assist health professionals in their research undertakings, but has also developed programming for attendees of the Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held October 16–21 In Philadelphia.
Based on the increasingly competitive nature of grant funding, a workshop, “Practical Things You Can Do to Strengthen Your Grant Proposal,” will be offered by experienced ARHP members who have been principle investigators on multiple grants and who are also grant reviewers. Also, due to popular demand, the ARHP Research Committee will again lead poster tours at the annual meeting. Leaders of these tours select the highest-rated posters and guide participants in decoding the research and discussing the findings with the poster authors. The poster tour is not only a wonderful learning opportunity, it also provides a chance to interact and network with fellow ARHP members in a semi-structured session.
The ARHP remains committed to helping rheumatology health professional researchers navigate their careers. For more information, visit www.rheumatology.org/arhp, or call the ARHP at (404) 633-3777.
