Unfortunately, the new research suggests approximately one-third of adults with arthritis report no leisure-time physical activity. The authors conclude by suggesting healthcare providers refer patients to the National Diabetes Prevention Program for evidence-based suggestions that may reduce arthritis-specific barriers to physical activity.
