In conclusion, the study revealed that the switch from a Myc-dependent to a HIF1α-dependent transcriptional program appears to regulate the robust bioenergetics support required for an inflammatory response. The switch allows for a rapid response to infection while simultaneously sparing Myc-dependent proliferation.
