May is recognized as National Arthritis Awareness Month, a time to bring attention to the more than 46 million Americans living with arthritis and related inflammatory diseases. In honor of the occasion, the Rheumatology Research Foundation is launching #RheumLife, a social media campaign to bring awareness to the severity of rheumatic disease.
Through Twitter and Facebook, the Foundation will use #RheumLife to create a window into the lives of patients and their families as they share what it’s like to live with a rheumatic disease. The goal is to increase awareness and understanding of the impact these diseases have on people’s ability to accomplish everyday tasks that most take for granted.
Follow the Foundation on Facebook and Twitter to read patients’ stories, as well as those from their friends and loved ones. Anyone interested in sharing their story should email or visit Rheum Research.
