Bottom Line
All things considered, even with the shortcomings, telerheumatology is better than having no rheumatology care at all.
I feel that not all rheumatology patients are ideal for telerheumatology. I propose an initial screening process by a rheumatologist to determine if a specific patient should be seen by telerheumatology or should be seen in person in the initial consultation.
