The researchers saw no increased risk of cancer overall in patients with psoriatic arthritis. Although the authors did not find an association between biologic agents and an increased risk of cancer, they concluded by suggesting clinicians treating psoriasis patients be aware of the increased risk for cancer in the patient population and the possibility that immunogenic treatment may be associated with exacerbations, especially in lymphomas.
