She says to remember that rheumatologists are more likely to receive mentoring support as young investigators. It’s important to embrace this early time in your career to learn from senior colleagues.
As a member of the ACR’s Early Career Investigator subcommittee within the ACR Research Committee, Dr. Cappelli works with the ACR through a program called CARMA to help connect new rheumatologists in need of a mentor with more senior rheumatologists outside of their institution.
