For the PA, interventions often mirror those of the PA’s associated supervising physician. Medication therapy, joint or soft tissue injections, and use of complimentary modalities, such as musculoskeletal ultrasound, are all methods that can be employed by the PA to successfully manage pain and maximize quality of life for patients with rheumatic disease.
