Ann-Marie Lindstrom is a freelance writer and editor based in Arizona. She has written about emergency medical services, the fire service, emergency dispatch and elder care in addition to her work for The Rheumatologist. Her on-site job with Jems Communications in the 1990s sparked her interest in first responders, which led to other health-related areas. The best part of her writing life is the continuing opportunities to learn something new. She's also the author of two nonfiction books totally unrelated to healthcare, just to keep some balance in her life.
